Janet Rich is a qualified Counsellor and member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I became interested in psychology when she started to read Carl Jung many years ago whilst studying Fine Art.
This began a lifelong love of learning and self-discovery, leading on to her qualifying as a Psychodynamic/ Humanistic Counsellor in 2001.
I have worked in a number of professional settings, including mainstream education as a play therapist, special schools for children with emotional and behavioural issues, bereavement, carers and youth services, more recently specialising in end of life care.
I have an established South London Practice in Tulse Hill.
In addition to counselling I have been a practising artist for 25 years, facilitating groups to find meaning through their creative expression, also undertaking various other teaching, consultancy and group work.
I am committed to a holistic approach to health and well-being and am personally enriched by my own meditation and yoga practices.
I have 10 years experience of working with a wide range of psychological, emotional and mental health problems and is committed to a holistic approach to health and well-being.
I believe in the therapeutic ability of a good counselling relationship to nurture growth, self-acceptance and belonging.
I am a fully qualified, registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work to their strict code of ethics. I have a Diploma in Integrative Counselling as well as training in group therapy and psychosynthesis.
